We're not giving up. Geo and I are making an appintment to talk to our H & S Homes rep, Jackie, this weekend to discuss other options (i.e., they supply the lot and build the house).

Hmmm...seems rather like fraud to me....selling you land that they know you can't build on.
I hope you can find something that works for you through the builder. I clicked on their link in your other post and the homes are beautiful and not terribly expensive. Their biggest model build on a half acre was like 219 thousand. It's the same size as my house (2200 sq ft) and the group that built mine is building my exact model on a lot that is less than half an acre for 360 thousand.

Sadly, its better you learn that now instead of later.
A Perk Test shows the ability of the land to handle/process a septic system.
Jade ~ hey, you! It could be looked upon as fraud IF the seller had knowledge of past perk testing; alas, that's almost impossible to prove. The seller can just claim stupidity. I look at this as more of a lesson for Geo and I, a caveat emptor. Always check the land ifo before you attempt to make a purchase. And thanks on the pic!

If your buying new try Twin Builders on rt 903. He is pretty honest from what I've heard. I'm from NYC and Century 21 steered me OK, not the best but I'll do them again when I upgrade. Looking for quallity go to Big Boulder up the road from Tomencing Trails in Kidder Township. Prices double but worth looking at. Bear Creek Lakes is a great community but costly for me. Theres always the town of Jim Thrope if your willing to rebuild and have it all at your door step.
