Why you should NEVER let your mom get rid of your toys from childhood

Remember I told you about Shelley's Pharmacy closing and the Batman toy from there? Remember I said one that is MOC (mint on card) would be worth a few bucks? O.K., these toys weren't on cards. They were in BOXES. And I found one on E-Bay and I bid on it. I bid $80.02 max.
It went for $471.61! A TOY!!!!!!

My head hurts.

I find it really interesting, the amount of money some people will pay for an old toy.

It's not as if you can play with it - as soon as it's out of the box it loses it's value.

Toys are toys. They seem odd things to be saving as an investment for the future, or worse (in my opinion) collecting them for collectings sake. Where's the joy, the fun, in that?

Maybe I'm missing something.

No, you're not missing anything.

I just can't believe someone has that much extra scratch in their wallet that they can buy a friggin 30 year old toy.

Cripes, give the money to me!!
