Potty News

Note: This is so a Mommy bloggish post so if you could care less about potty training, skip.

Dinks has been potty training for, ohhhhh, a year now. I think she's finally getting it. She had only two wet diapers this whole weekend. My goal is her fully trained by Easter. That would be so cool.

Teeth. Walking. Potty. Someone tell me the next milestone ...

The next milestone is a sibling -- so she can moan about having to share and then boss someone else around!

Buying booze with the money you save.

CP - I don't know about that. Geo keeps saying "no way in hell". Not much grey area in that response.

Snicks - What would that be? You know I'm dense. Throw me a bone here ...

SID - We already buy booze. We could buy more, or just better stuff.

I have to ask, why has this taken a year? More times than not, it takes about 5-6 months at best. Were you not persistant with it?

Both my kids were fairly easy. My son took only a few months and my daughter was funny, telling me when she wanted to go out and wear underpants, when she was ready to take a nap with underpants. Once she got the hang of it, she was a breeze.

Good luck with everything! I'm sure you counting the days 'til no more diaper doody...uh...duty. heh

Kyahgirl - Hey! Welcome to me blog! Kindergarten? I can deal with that. A couple of years of no anticipating anything suits me just fine.

TJ - Hee-hee-hee. You said "doody".

I think it's been a year. It's been tough and it wasn't from lack of persistance. She knows the potty and all aspects of the potty. Her big hang-up was her bowel problems. She's on Miralax daily because of it and has been since she was 12 months. And because of her constipation problems, that has caused the delay in training. The doc said something about constipation and blocking the bladder. We just had to help her get a potty rhythm going. Now her little bowels are on a daily schedule and the rest has been falling into place ... right in the toilet. :D
