Gas prices are set to fall

Is it just me or does anyone else find this a bit too coincidental that it's happening right after the big Labor Day holiday weekend?

Oil Prices Fall, Pump Prices Seen Dropping

Let's face it, oil companies are using Katrina as a scapegoat for their greed.

There's no doubt about it. Pretty rotten. Do you have the link to that tattoo quiz, if that's what it was? Would like to check it out.

Interesting...but I wonder if gas prices will ever go down below $3? In a way (and this is when I get evil), I'd be happy if they stayed up, serves all those suburban soccer moms driving SUV's who feared "terrorists" and thus voted Bush right. But than I think, oh no, as an airline employee, large gas prices will just bring down our industry, hundreds out of jobs. Sigh. No easy solution.

VG - They'll fall below $3. It's that false sense of a bargin. Just like when the prices were over $2 for the first time. It lasted for a month. Then the prices edged just under $2 so everybody thought they were getting a good deal. Now we think $2.849 will be the best there is. It's all psychological price fixing.

interesting and correct observation about the pyschology of baragins, I'd be like "wow - $2.84, what a deal." Great I'm being brainwashed also, dam those large oil companies!
